Physician Assistant Team

The Physician Assistants play a crucial role on my team.  They are involved in every part of the care of my patients.  Their training includes performing thorough history and physical examinations, consultations, preparing patients for the operating room, assisting in the operating room, and helping to manage the patients during their recovery.

I am blessed to have some of the finest Physician Assistants in the field of cardiovascular surgery!

Chances are, one of my Physician Assistants will be involved in your care on a daily basis.

Simply put, my success in large part is a result of these remarkable professionals!!!!

Benjamin Steward, PA-C

Ben has just joined our team in August 2004.

Ben received his Bachelor of Science degree at Lock Haven University where he graduated with Summa cum Laude recognition.

Ben received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at De Sales University, again receiving Summa cum Laude recognition.

Having worked with the Mid-Atlantic Cardiothoracic Surgeons in Norfolk, Virginia, Ben brings tremendous experience and talent to our team.

Lee Speed, PA-C

Lee trained at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree at Messiah College.

An incredible talent and just about the nicest person you'll ever meet.

Lee has an incredible knack for seeing everything in the operating field.  He keeps me out of trouble and he's a calming force in the operating room.  Plus, he's got a direct line to God!

David Cederberg, PA-C

David received his Bachelor of Science and his physician assistant training at DeSales University.

David is one of the most experienced cardiac surgical assistants.  He started out as a surgical technologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital and went on to gain his degree as a physician assistant.

One of the most beloved professionals, David always knows how to make people smile and laugh.

Most of all, he is a caring, thoughtful, and talented assistant.

Peter Tucker, PA-C

Charles Peter  Tucker is our Chief Physician Assistant.

Pete received both his Bachelor of Science and his physician assistant training at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Everybody loves Pete, especially the nurses!  But, don't get your hopes up.  Pete has a beautiful wife and a lovely family.

Pete was a star even when he first visited as a student.  We're lucky to have Pete in charge.

Lori Quick, PA-C

Like a rose among thorns at our Cedar Crest site, our Queen Bee (as she likes to be referred to) is also one of the most talented physician assistants you'll ever meet.

Lori received her Bachelor of Science and her physician assistant training at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

If you haven't noticed, we have both "Quick" and "Speed" on our team!  Actually Lori Quick and Lee Speed graduated together.

And, she is quite quick, being probably the fastest at suturing on the team!

Marvin Moquin, Jr., PA-C

Marvin  joined us in June 2003.  Marvin comes to us from Harrisburg where he has been a cardiac surgery PA-C since 1981.

Marvin is one of the most experienced PA-C's in the United States having assisted in over 4000 heart operations!

Most of all, Marvin has one of the greatest personalities and knows how make everyone around him feel great.

We are very lucky to have (stolen) Marvin from Harrisburg!

Kevin Haas, PA-C

Kevin joined our team in 2005 and has been another great addition to the team.

Kevin completed his Bachelor of Science and his Master's degree as a Physician Assistant at DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

A hard worker and a great young talent, Kevin takes excellent care of his patients.

David Fontaine, PA-C

David joined our team in 2006.  We were fortunate get David to leave a heart program in Philadelphia.

David completed his Bachelor of Science at Elizabeth Town College, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

David completed his Masters degree as a Physician Assistant at Arcadia University, in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

David is one of the nicest guys on the entire planet!  He is always soft-spoken and pleasant, an absolute pleasure to work with.
