Thomas McLoughlin, MD Dr. McLoughlin is the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and was the first anesthesiologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital to use intra-operative TEE (Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography). |
Dennis Chyung, MD Dr. Chyung is one of our fine cardiac anesthesiologists. He was trained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Chyung is an expert at TEE and was quickly recruited to join our team by Dr. McLoughlin. |

Dr. Juhan Paiste Dr. Paiste joined the team after previously working at the University of Pittsburgh. Above, he is shown using the TEE machine, for which he too is an expert.

Dr. Aras Ali Dr. Ali also comes to us from Pittsburgh. Also an expert on the use of intra-operative TEE. Another great addition to our team.

Dr. Daniel Weil Dr. Weil trained at the University of Pennsylvania and is another great addition to our team. Like all of our cardiac anesthesiologists, Dr. Weil is an expert on the use of TEE and has a lot of experience with minimally invasive heart surgery. |

Dr. Nanette Schwann In addition to her duties as a cardiac anesthesiologist, Dr. Schwann heads up our cardiac anesthesia clinical research program. We are fortunate to have 6 full-time dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists with expert skills with the use of intra-operative TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram). TEE is one of the most important assessment and monitoring tools that we have in the open heart operating rooms. Our cardiac anesthesiologists are truly TEE experts! |
