It is ironic that many patients who rely so heavily on their physician's opinion are often not even slightly aware of their physician's credentials. Perhaps it is because the patient is too shy or feels it improper to ask where the doctor went to medical school or what honors he or she has received.
It is funny how we go to ten different car dealerships when we need a car, but we tend to go to the first doctor we're recommended to without questioning anything.
It is the sincere hope of heartlungdoc.com that we will set a standard in the medical community. Perhaps we can encourage other doctors and medical professionals to provide the opportunity for their patients and the general public to learn more about physicians and their careers without taking a lot of time or costing a lot of money for the patient or the physician.
